ARCHITECTURAL MOSAIC APPLICATIONS

This is a cartoon fish we installed for a customer doing a re-build and wanting to do something "Fun" in their New Shower. It was $ 450 for the Mosaic Fish. The Tile Install was a separate billing.

So, with a job like this, the customer purchased the fish mosaic from me for the $ 450, I started out by stretching a plastic mesh in a jig, gluing the mosaic tile on to the Mesh and then shipping it to the customer for installation. The customer gave the Mosaic on Mesh to TILE GUY, Andy Sella, he spread tile adhesive on the wall of the shower where the customer wanted it, pressed the Mesh Backed Mosaic on the wall, situated it just so and then tamped it down and let it dry. Once the mosaic image has dried Andy Sella begins filling the shower walls with his "surround" tile installation and simply stencil cuts the few pieces that surround the Mosaic when he gets to that POINT in the job.

"Empire Bluff" Wall Mural. This is the Pre-Tile- Application Sketch for a 12 Ft Wide X 5 Ft High, White Oak Frame, Hand Made, Wall Mural. This creation and installation was conceived and built by Glen Lake High School Senior Art Class, authorized and assigned by Ms. Deegan, Glen Lake School Art Department Director at The Glen Lake School in Burdickville, Michigan and choreographed by Adam Begley.

This room converts into an auditorium when the tables are removed, the "pull out" seating comes to the middle of the room and the stage (not pictured but to the LEFT) is used for plays, musicals and performances.

Pileated Woodpecker All Tile Parts Applied and ready for delivery to the Job Site. This mosaic on the "Hardi Board Backing" will be screwed into the framework of a shower's main wall and surrounded by a white, "subway brick" tile. Completed Job Photos will be added to the website when completed in Jan, 2106.

Once the Mosaic Pileated Woodpecker which is glued with a special adhesive to the "Hardi Baord" Backing, it is installed to the wall and studs which make up the Shower Enclosure Frame, and once it drys in place Andy Sella begins to finish off the entire shower stall with the "Subway Tile" ceramic tile background or, "surround." Andy Sella makes sure all corners and wall materials are waterproof while continuing to cover the walls with tile. Tile Installation Picture 2.

When the entire Ceiling of Shower is done Andy will grout the entire shower room. Zoom In to see the detail cuts made into the Subway Brick Tiles to fit around the Woodpecker. Pretty Tight!
